Grammys: On February 4th, the 66th Annual Grammy Awards struck the nation displaying several accomplished musicians while showcasing the best of the best. While many notable icons like Colombian singer and actress Karol G won their first Grammy, 32 time Grammy winner Beyoncé, shifted the nation’s expectation with zero nominations due to “winning too many”. R&B superstar SZA, prevailed in three awards including the Best Pop duo alongside Phoebe Bridgers for the collaboration of “Ghost in the Machine”. Killer Mike, winner of Best Rap song, Best Rap performance, and Best Rap Album, caused a change in events resulting in his escort out of the awards seen in handcuffs. In addition, this eventful night spotlighted the music industry’s women, leaving them to dominate the Grammys. Meanwhile, Billy Joel performed his new song “Turn the Lights Back On” after a long 17 year hiatus. This moment, long awaited by numerous fans, proved to show Billy Joel’s never-ending impact.
